Description :Recombinant full-length human CyclinM was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.

Species :Human

Tag :GST

Expression System:Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus

Sequence :Full Length

Genbank Number :NM_152274

Alternative Name(s) :CCNQ, CycM ; FAM58A

Formulation :Recombinant protein stored in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 25% glycerol.

Storage and Stability :Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Scientific Background :Cyclin M, the only conventional cyclin partner of CDK10, protects CDK10 from ubiquitin-mediated degradation (1). Cyclin M exhibits strong sequence homology to transcriptional cyclins, especially the L-type cyclins that are associated with CDK11, 12 and 13 to regulate transcription and splicing (2). CDK10 is required to form a complex with Cyclin M in order to phosphorylate Histone H1, the canonical CDK substrate, and ETS2, a transcription factor that plays key roles in cancer and development (2).
