Description :Recombinant full-length human TDP43 protein was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.

Species :Human

Tag :GST

Expression System:Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus

Sequence :Full Length

Genbank Number :NM_007375

Alternative Name(s) :ALS10; TARDBP

Formulation :Recombinant protein stored in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 25% glycerol.

Storage and Stability :Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Scientific Background :TAR DNA binding protein (TARDBP) Human was originally discovered in a screen for transcriptional repressors of the transactive response (TAR) DNA binding element of the HIV-1 virus. Contain two RNA-recognition motifs (RRM1 and RRM2), one of which partially overlaps with a putative nuclear export sequence. Mutations in TARDBP were identified in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients.
