Scientific Background :CDK13 or cyclin-dependent kinase 13 is a member of the cyclin-dependent serine/threonine protein kinase family which are well known for their essential roles as master switches in cell cycle control. CDK13 forms a complex with cyclin K and is predicted to play a role in gene regulation (1). CDK13 may play a role in mRNA processing and is thought to be involved in regulation of hematopoiesis (2). The CYCK-CDK12 and CYCK-CDK13 complexes display unique function in cell cycle and gene regulation.
