Species :Human

Tag :GST tag

Expression System:Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus

Sequence :2-end

Genbank Number :BC003046

Purity :Sample Purity Data. For specific information on a given lot, see related technical data sheet.

Storage, Stability, and Shipping :Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications :Methyltrasferase Assay

Molecular Weight :70 kDa

Gene Aliases :PME-1

Scientific Background :Protein phosphatase methylesterase 1 (PPME1) conducts the demethylation of the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A) and leads to inactivation of the phosphatase (1). It is demonstrated that PPME1 binds directly to the active site of PP2A and evicts the manganese ions required for the phosphatase activity (2). PPME1 is also reported to protect ERK activity in human malignant glioma (3).
