Scientific Background :Lambda Protein Phosphatase (lambda PP) is a Mn 2-dependent protein phosphatase composed of 221 amino acids and is encoded on ORF211 of bacteriophage lambda (1). Lambda PP has activity towards phosphorylated serine, threonine, tyrosine and histidine residues (2). It can be inhibited by vanadate ions (3).
