Storage, Stability and Shipping : Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications : Western Blot

Molecular Weight :  85 kDa

Gene Aliases : USP21

Scientific Background : Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 25 (USP25) belongs to the ubiquitin-specific proteases (USPs) family, and removes conjugated ubiquitin from substrates (1). USP25 processes, recycles ubiquitin to prevent the proteasomal degradation of proteins (1). It modifies tetraubiquitin chains via hydrolysing ‘Lys-63’ linked polyubiquitins to negatively regulate the inflammation mediated by IL-17 (2). A genome-wide association study of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) identified the SNPs at USP25 sites (3).
