Description :Recombinant human WDR48 (2-580) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag.

Species :Human

Tag :GST

Expression System:Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus

Sequence :2-580

Genbank Number :NM_020839

Alternative Name(s) :USP1-associated factor 1, WD repeat endosomal protein, p80

Formulation :Recombinant protein stored in 50mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 10mM glutathione, 0.1mM EDTA, 0.25mM DTT, 25% glyercol.

Storage and Stability :Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Scientific Background :Several WD40-repeat (WDR) proteins interact with and regulate the activity of USPs. A subfamily of USPs constituting of USP1, USP12, and USP46 share a common WDR partner WDR48/ UAF1 that stimulates the activity of these USPs (1). USP1/WDR48 complex controls the cellular levels of monoubiquitinated FANCD2 DNA repair, a regulation pivotal for an intact Fanconi anemia pathway (2). WDR48 in complex with USP12 suppresses proliferation of tumor by enhancing stability of PHLPP1 (3).
