USP51

Storage, Stability and Shipping : Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications : Western Blot

Molecular Weight :  82 kDa

Gene Aliases : Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 51

Scientific Background : Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 51 (USP51) contains the Zn-finger ZnF-UBP domain and belongs to a subfamily of deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs) (1). USP51 regulates DNA damage response through deubiquitylating histone H2A Lys 13,15ub at the DNA double-strand breaks (2). USP51 deubiquitinates and stabilizes ZEB1 to regulate cell invasion and epithelial-mesenchymal transition in the breast cancer cells and is overexpressed in breast cancer patients and associated to poor survival (3).
