Scientific Background :NDR2 or Nuclear Dbf2-related protein is a serine/threonine kinase in the subgroup of the AGC kinase family. NDR2 is regulated by Mob proteins and is also known as serine/threonine kinase 38 like (STK38L) (1). NDR2 act as novel pro-apoptotic kinase that is activated by RASSF1A/MST1 in response to Fas receptor stimulation and promotes apoptosis (2). NDR2 is mainly involved in the regulation of structural processes in differentiating and mature neuronal cells and it is highly expressed with highest levels observed in the thymus (3).
