Description :Recombinant human RanGAP1 (418-end) was expressed in E. coli cells using an N-terminal his tag.

Species :Human

Tag :His tag

Expression System:E.coli

Sequence :418-end

Genbank Number :NM_002883

Purity :Sample Purity Data. For specific information on a given lot, see related technical data sheet.

Storage, Stability, and Shipping :Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications :Western Blot

Molecular Weight :~20 kDa

Gene Aliases :Fug1; RANGAP; SD

Scientific Background :RANGAP1, Ran GTPase activating protein 1, is the control substrate, which produces a single SUMO modification during SUMOylation (1). As a GTPase activator, RANGAP1 is involved in nuclear envelope assembly and nuclear transport through interacting with Ras-related nuclear protein 1(RAN) and regulating GTP-binding and exchange (2). Also, abnormal localization of RanGAP1 was found in cortex of the patients with Huntington’s disease (3)
