Description :Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Species :

Tag :

Expression System:

Sequence :

Specificity :Recognizes the REL A (NFKB/p65) protein

Cited Applications :WB

Cross Reactivity :Western blot human and mouse REL A

REL A from other species may also be detectable.

Host  :Rabbit

Immunogen :Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 527-531 of human REL A

Purification :Affinity chromatography

Stability :Store at 4oC (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20oC for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For optimal performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Sample Data :Representative Western blot with Anti-REL A (1:1000) using 20 ng human recombinant Rel A.

Sample Data :Representative Western blot with Anti-REL A (1:1000) using 3 μg, 10 μg, and 30 μg of 3T6 cell lysate.

Scientific Background :Transcription factors of the nuclear factor κB (NF-κB)/Rel family play a pivotal role in inflammatory and immune responses in unstimulated cells, NF-κB is sequestered in the cytoplasm by its inhibitory proteins, the IκBs (1). NF-κB-activating agents can induce the phosphorylation of IκB’s, targeting them for rapid degradation through an ubiquitin-proteasome pathway, releasing NF-κB to enter the nucleus, where it regulates gene expression.
