Description :Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Species :

Tag :

Expression System:

Sequence :

Specificity :Recognizes the RSK1 protein

Cited Applications :WB, ELISA, ICC, IF

Cross Reactivity :Human

Host / Isotype / Clone# :Rabbit, IgG

Immunogen :RSK1 antibody was raised against a 16 amino acid synthetic peptide from near the carboxy terminus of human RSK1

Purification :Affinity chromatography

Stability :Store at 4oC (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20oC for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Sample Data :Western blot analysis of RSK1 in Jurkat cell lysate with RSK1 antibody at (A) 2.5, (B) 5 and (C) 10 ug/ml.

Sample Data :Immunocytochemistry of RSK1 in Jurkat cells with RSK1 antibody at 10 ug/ml.

Scientific Background :RSK1 is a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family that are growth factor-regulated serine/threonine kinases. RSK1 contains 2 nonidentical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates various substrates, including members of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) signalling pathway. RSK1 encodes a predicted 735-amino acid protein containing 2 distinct consensus ATP-binding site sequences. RSK1 transcript is present in lymphocytes, skeletal muscle, liver, and adipose tissue (1). RSKs are implicated in the activation of the mitogen-activated kinase (MAPK) cascade and the stimulation of cell proliferation and differentiation (2).
