Specific Activity : Sample Activity Plot. For specific information on a given lot, see related technical data sheet.

Purity : Sample Purity Data. For specific information on a given lot, see related technical data sheet.

Storage, Stability and Shipping : Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Molecular Weight : 95~100 kDa

Scientific Background : The PAD family of enzymes is responsible for the catalysis of arginine-to-citrulline conversion in target proteins. There are 5 mammalian PAD isoforms (PAD1-4,6) that share ~50% sequence homology. Each PAD enzyme has its own typical subcellular localization, tissue distribution and substrate specificity, although no substrate protein has been found so far for PAD6.
