Storage, Stability and Shipping : tored at desiccated below -20oC. It is stable at 4oC between 2-7 days. For long term storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Scientific Background : IFN-gamma encodes the ligand-binding chain (alpha) of the gamma interferon receptor which is a heterodimer of IFNGR1 and IFNGR2 and IFNGR1 is associated with susceptibility to Helicobacter pylori infection. IFN-gamma and lymphocytes prevent primary tumour development and shape tumour immunogenicity (1). IFN-gamma is also a cause of mendelian susceptibility to mycobacterial disease, also known as familial disseminated atypical mycobacterial infection. IFNG is a regulator of hematopoietic stem cells during homeostasis and under conditions of infectious stress (2).
