Description :Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Species :

Tag :

Expression System:

Sequence :

Specificity :Recognizes only the GAPDH protein

Cited Applications :WB

Cross Reactivity :Western blot GAPDH from Rabbit and Mouse

GAPDH from other species may also be detectable.

Host :Rabbit

Immunogen :Synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of the human G3PDH

Purification :Affinity Chromatography

Stability :Store at 4oC (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20oC for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For optimal performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Sample Data :Representative Western blot with Anti-GAPDH (1:1000) using 30μg of HeLa, 293, Jurkat and THP1 cell lysates.

Scientific Background :Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) catalyzes the sixth step of glycolysis – the oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate – in the metabolic breakdown of glucose. GAPDH also plays an important role across a diverse array of biological functions such as endocytosis, mRNA regulation, and tRNA export, DNA replication, DNA repair, and apoptosis [1]. GAPDH also serves as an ideal loading control or housekeeping gene [2].
