Description :Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Species :Mouse

Tag :

Expression System:

Sequence :

Specificity :Anti-GAPDH antibody recognizes the GAPDH protein.

Cited Applications :WB, ELISA

Cross Reactivity :GAPDH from Rabbit, Rat, Mouse, Human, Yeast, BL-21 Bacteria, and Sf9 insect cells

GAPDH from other species may also be detectable.

Host / Isotype / Clone# :Mouse, IgG1, GA1R

Immunogen :GAPDH from rabbit

Purification :Purified by Protein A affinity chromatography from mouse ascites fluid

Stability :Store at 4°C (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20°C for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For optimal performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Sample Data :Representative western blot (1:1000) using 0.1µg, 0.5µg, and 1µg of HeLa cell lysate.

Scientific Background :Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) catalyzes the sixth step of glycolysis – the oxidative phosphorylation of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate – in the metabolic breakdown of glucose. GAPDH also plays an important role across a diverse array of biological functions such as endocytosis, mRNA regulation, and tRNA export, DNA replication, DNA repair, and apoptosis [1]. GAPDH also serves as an ideal loading control or housekeeping gene [2].
