Description :Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Species :

Tag :

Expression System:

Sequence :

Specificity :Recognizes acetylated lysine residues in proteins and peptide, including acetylated histone, acetylated BSA and acetylated MBP.

Cited Applications :For direct immunofluorescence assay

Cross Reactivity :Pan-specific antibody. No cross-reactions detected to the non-acetylated proteins and peptides.

Host :Rabbit

Immunogen :Acetylated lysine-KLH conjugates

Purification :By affinity chromatography on an acetyl lysine agarose column

Stability :Store at 4oC (add 0.1% NaN3) for several months, and at -20oC for longer periods. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For optimal performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Sample Data :Representative immunofluorescent stain with Anti-Acetylated Lysine, FITC conjugated (1:1000) using the TSA-treated (A) and non-treated (B) human melanoma cells (MMRU).

Scientific Background :Post-translational modification of proteins and peptides is a robust way to regulate function of existing proteins or peptides. Acetylation on lysine residues is one example of post-translational modification and is performed by a variety of acetyl transferases in the cell. Histone acetyl-transferases (HATs) are universal regulators of eukaryotic transcriptional activity and emerging therapeutic targets for human diseases (1). The Acetylated Lysine Antibody conjugated to FITC detects acetylation on lysine residues of proteins and peptides.
