Species : Human

Tag : GST tag

Expression System : Sf9 insect cells using baculovirus

Sequence : 169-end

Genbank Number : BC074872

Purity : Sample Purity Data. For specific information on a given lot, see related technical data sheet.

Storage, Stability and Shipping : Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.

Applications : Western Blot

Molecular Weight : 57 kDa

Gene Aliases : Lysyl oxidase

Scientific Background : LOX or lysyl oxidase is an extracellular copper enzyme that initiates the cross-linking of collagens and elastin. LOX catalyzes oxidative deamination of the epsilon-amino group in certain lysine and hydroxylysine residues of collagens and lysine residues of elastin (1). LOX plays an important role in tumor suppression (2). LOX may be required to create a niche permissive for metastatic growth and it is essential for hypoxia-induced metastasis.
